At Bradfield, we ensure every student is fully supported in planning their next steps beyond Key Stage 4. Through personalised guidance, structured application support and strong city-wide partnerships, students move confidently into sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment.
Careers Guidance in Key Stage 4
During Key Stage 4, students explore their post-16 options with support from form tutors, heads of year and our careers advisor. Pathways are tailored to individual strengths and aspirations, including:

A-Levels or equivalent qualifications at sixth forms and colleges

Vocational courses

Apprenticeships with a range of providers

Employment with training
Every student is guaranteed at least one face-to-face careers interview with our Careers Advisor. Outcomes are shared with students and parents/carers to support informed decision-making.
Students also receive guidance in completing applications and writing personal statements through Sheffield Progress at the end of Year 10 and during the Autumn Term of Year 11.

As a member of INOVA Multi-Academy Trust, Bradfield students have access to high-quality sixth form provision across the city, including at two member academies, ensuring strong progression opportunities for all.
Forge Valley Sixth Form is a thriving community of young people who are working hard to achieve their goals and based in the north-west of Sheffield in Stannington.
Forge Valley has an excellent academic record in delivering both A Levels and BTEC qualifications.
Tapton School Sixth Form is an inspiring, challenging and dynamic setting in which to study A Levels and based in the south-west of Sheffield, and close to the Peak District National Park.
Tapton offers a broad and balanced experience in a cohesive and inclusive environment.
